Depending on the reduction of the pressure in the system the pressure switches Cut-In to starting up of the pumps in sequence. Duty Cycle relays may also alternate the starting of different pumps in different duty cycles so that the operation of each pump is uniform.

According to the Water Consumption, one or more pumps start, one at Variable Speed and the other at Fixed Speed, to provide water quantity at the set pressure. In this option, the Variable Speed driven Pump starts first and maintains the required pressure by adjusting the speed of the pump. When the Variable Speed Driven Pump operates at full speed and still the requirement increases one of the Fixed Speed Pump comes in operation (switched on by the pressure switch) and the speed of the Variable Speed driven pumps goes down to maintain the required pressure. Similarly, the other pumps cut-in one by one as the requirement of water increases.
CONSTRUCTION:
- Automatic Pressure boosting plant consist of 2 to 6 centrifugal pumps complete with ball, non- return valve on the suction side and ball valve on delivery side.
- Suction and delivery manifolds are in MS
- Pressure vessel is connected to the delivery manifold.
- Motor control panel is supplied for automatic operation of pumps as per requirement of water flow rates.
- The unit includes one pressure gage and adjustable pressure switch or pressure transducer (For a set with variable frequency drive).
APPLICATIONS:
- To supply pressurized water in commercial and industrial buildings.
- AS pressure boosting pump is used to increase water pressure when needed.
MOTORS:
- 2-pole induction motors, 50HZ, n=2900 RPM suitable for operation with frequency converter, 3 phase, 400 volts, Insulation Class F Protection Class IP54.
